3rd Grade Classroom Overviews 📸
Everywhere you turn in this classroom, you find bright, happy colors.

From the front of the classroom with bright posters to the fun streamers or plastic tablecloths hanging from the ceiling, this classroom has color!
And the giant rug that says “This is your happy place”? 🥰It’s the PERFECT addition to creating a classroom that feels like the best place ever.

Your walls around your classroom don’t have to be drab.
Think about adding some colorful borders around your whiteboard or a string of lights to spruce up the look and feel of your classroom.

Adding bits of rainbow and these bright colors on each wall of your classroom creates a space where everything merges together into one seamless room that has been set up with intention.

Let’s take a closer look at this room to find 3rd grade classroom decor ideas you can bring into your own space!
Happy Hues Displays 🌈
The displays created for the Happy Hues classroom theme are designed to keep what you are teaching at the top of mind for your students, while adding some bright, exciting colors into your room.

Hang these Amazing Work Coming Soon placeholder posters on top of bright pink or another solid-colored background.
Your students will get SO excited to create amazing work to hang on the wall. 🤩

Your word wall bulletin board doesn’t have to start out as a blank slate.
Place your alphabet line in the middle to help students easily reference their ABC’s.
Logan chose to cut the letters out of the traditional alphabet posters to create a more condensed alphabet line. 🙌

All of your displays don’t need to be on the wall. 🤯
Save some space with this 3rd grade classroom decor idea!
Throw some tape on the back of your classroom jobs cards and place them on the side of a bookshelf in your room.
Then your students can easily reference them, and you get to save your bulletin boards for instruction!

Place your calendar at the front of the classroom to make referencing the date a piece of cake! 🍰

Another great 3rd grade classroom decor idea is to put some books on stands above your bookshelves! 🙌
It’s an easy way to highlight books you love (because when you tell your students you love a book, they generally start to love it too!) 😉

Too many whiteboards, not enough ideas? Think about using one of them as a learning target or objectives station. 🎯
Your students will have one easy spot to glance and see an overview of what they will be learning in math, science, and reading each day!
When Decor Meets Organization 📌
One of my favorite things to share is organization ideas.
Your classroom can get so cluttered, so quickly, and it makes everything hard.
Here are some amazing 3rd grade classroom decor ideas that double as amazing organizational hacks!

Provide small cubbies and baskets for your students.
Your students can use this to hold their notebooks, workbooks, or other folders they need for each of their subjects.
💭 This is a great idea if you are going away from having desks, but still need a place for students to put their things.
👉 Don’t forget to label the cubbies with student numbers!

Make turning things in easy for your students.
A turn-in tray with some customized labels is the PERFECT solution. 🙌

A front station with some supplies in easy reach will make your whole group instruction times MUCH easier.
Add a bucket of dry erase markers, picture books you’ll be teaching this week, and access to sticky notes, or whatever else you find yourself passing out day after day.
Finding the perfect blend between cute and functional is key to a classroom you’ll LOVE.

Using a rolling cart purely for papers and copies you will need throughout the week is a game changer.
It’s too easy to become hidden under piles and piles of paper. Finding the tool that works for you to keep the piles to a minimum is key.
Your classroom is the safe space for you and your students, and you’ll end up spending lots of time there.
Devoting some time to find 3rd grade classroom decor ideas that will keep your classroom running smoothly and make it a fun, exciting place to be is key.

Bring the excitement to your classroom with the Happy Hues classroom decor bundle.
