With a few simple touches, you can create fun, low prep, eye-catching fall bulletin board displays (or door decor!)
In this blog post, I’ll share 2 of my favorite Halloween and fall bulletin board ideas for elementary school classrooms that will add some seasonal fun and excitement into your classroom. 🎃🍁
Pumpkin Patch Fall Bulletin Board
This first idea is fun and simple, with text-editable pumpkins to add your students’ names (or anything you’d like!)
Use this text-editable bulletin board display to create a deeper sense of community within your classroom.
This resource can be used as either a traditional bulletin board display, OR create a welcoming environment by decorating your classroom door with these pieces.
This resource comes with EVERYTHING you need to create either a bulletin board or door decoration.
Tip for Upper Elementary Teachers: Want to save some time with prepping? Have some students cut out all of the pieces for you! 🙂
Halloween Bulletin Board Display
This next idea is from my Halloween lovers out there. 👻
Check out this adorable bulletin board display that will freshen up your classroom.
This is a quick and easy fall bulletin board idea, simply print, cut, and hang!
Although I don’t recommend using this as door decor since the letters may not fit, it makes an adorable bulletin board display.
Another idea is to use it while you introduce a new attention-grabbing signal to your students. You as the teacher get to say “Hocus Pocus” and your students respond with “Everybody Focus”.
It’s a fun way to bring a change of pace into your normal routines.
Just like the pumpkin patch display, this resource has everything you need to create this Halloween bulletin board display.
Setting Up Your Bulletin Board Display
First, you need to decide if you will be editing anything on the resource.
This is especially true if you are using the pumpkin patch display. Edit the pumpkins by typing your students’ names on each pumpkin.
Once everything is personalized for your class, print out your display.
I highly suggest printing everything on cardstock. It allows for a richer print job and makes it a little sturdier so it will last longer.
(Read this blog post for more printing tips.)
Then, test the placement of everything on your board using washi tape.
Finally, grab that stapler (or tape if you are placing it on your door) and staple everything in place.
That’s it! You have created your very own cute fall-themed display. 🍁

Now, you get to sit back and enjoy your pumpkin-filled classroom while you sip your favorite hot drink. ☕
