Simple + Blue Classroom Theme

Subtle shades of blue and sketched clip art make up the Simple + Blue classroom theme.

This classroom decor theme has a special place in my heart.

Fun Fact: My very first classroom in 2017 was decorated with a light blue theme- because I wanted to create a calming but cohesive space.

Designing this theme has been a sweet, full circle moment. 💙

🥰 I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Here’s a glimpse at the items already included in this growing bundle.

This image shows glimpses of a classroom decorated with a simple and blue classroom theme.

Classroom Displays

Use the displays included in the simple + blue classroom theme to add calming shades of blue to every corner of your classroom.

Level up your current calendar or daily schedule using the resources provided in this bundle.

Calendar Kit

Make your classroom complete with a calendar kit created to perfectly match the other shades of blue in your classroom. 💙

This image shows a close-up of a calendar kit in a black pocket chart. The calendar is designed with shades of blue.

This calendar kit also includes season, weather, and day of the week cards for calendar time. 🤩

This image shows a close-up of the weather part of a calendar display in an elementary classroom. You can see the season, weather, and days of the week. Everything is created using shades of blue.

The calendar fits into a pocket chart, or can be attached to a bulletin board with velcro, or a magnetic whiteboard with magnetic tape.

Just look at these month cards 😍.

The blue accent with small clip-art off to the side just makes each month feel perfectly complete on your calendar.

This calendar kit works great in a calendar pocket chart or you can use velcro dots hung up on a bulletin board. Either option makes changing up your calendar each month a breeze.

Daily Schedule Display

Okay, these daily schedule cards might be one of my favorite parts of the simple + blue classroom theme bundle.

This image shows close-ups of the daily visual schedule cards included in the simple and blue classroom theme.

They’re just perfect.

Differing shades of blue with cute, specific, sketched clip-art off to the side. 🥰

Set these cards up on your whiteboard so students can see what’s coming each day.

Use analog clocks or digital clocks off to the side (there are editable ones included) so students can practice reading time on a clock! 🙌

The primary version of the schedule cards uses a primary font on the schedule cards and has a picture to go with each activity or subject.

Morning Greetings

Create a morning greetings display on the back of your door so students can choose how they feel like being greeted each morning. 👋

This image shows a classroom door decorated with morning greeting choices. The different options you can see are waves, fist bumps, and pinky shakes.

Start the day off strong with an easy connection and check-in with your students as they file into your room.

Number Line

Help boost your students’ number sense with a visual number line in your classroom. 🔢

This image shows a number line designed in different shades of blue.

This number line goes from 0 – 120 and includes an optional negative number line that goes down to -20.

Being able to post a number line can really help solidify something that feels so abstract. Especially as you get into negative numbers.

Simple + Blue Classroom Theme Posters

This simple + blue classroom theme is FILLED with posters created to support your students.

Sprinkling these posters around your classroom give your students so many excellent resources to help their learning and growing in your classroom community. 😊

Alphabet Posters

Every primary classroom (and probably even middle elementary classrooms) need alphabet posters of some kind.

Add primary posters into your room to help your students practice recognizing letter names and connecting the sound to the letter. 🌟

Choose between the primary style with a lined, primary font, or a more fun font based on what your students need.

Maybe your students need a reminder of the alphabet to grow their alphabetizing skills, but you don’t want it to feel “too little” for them.

This image shows simple and blue classroom theme alphabet posters.

The fun font style without pictures would be the perfect addition to your classroom.

And for the older classrooms, maybe you’re bringing cursive back into your room.

10 Frame Number Posters

For those with younger students, I always like to include number posters that students can reference.

This image shows number posters with the digit, number name, ten frame, die representation, and tally marks.

These number posters include the number name, the digit, ten frame, die, and tally marks for the numbers 0 – 20.

These small posters give students so many different ways to view and think about the numbers they are learning to master!

Skip Counting Posters

If your students are learning how to skip count or are working on starting multiplication, having a set of these skip counting posters for your classroom is a MUST.

👀 Your students will ALWAYS be referencing them as they learn to memorize their math facts.

Check out what they look like (in a different theme) here

Hand Signal Posters

If I could offer you one suggestion when it comes to classroom management, it would be using hand signal posters.

I go more into why here, but they will allow you to keep teaching during your instruction time.

This image shows hand signal posters created to match the simple and blue classroom theme.

👋 Say goodbye to countless interruptions with these gorgeous, blue hand signal posters.

Voice Level Posters

These simple + blue classroom theme posters are another great classroom management tip.

Keep everyone on the same page on what type of volume an activity or time of day needs by referencing these posters. 👏

This resource comes with two different styles.

The primary version uses an easier to read font and includes clip art as a visual reminder of the voice level.

The fun font voice level poster is great for upper elementary classrooms where you don’t need quite as many visual cues.

Classroom Rules Posters

Post your classroom rules so they are easy to reference and remember.

Choose from two different styles of these posters for the design you like best!

No matter which one you choose, you can change up what the rules say to convey the rules for your classroom. 💙

Editable Posters

Which leads us to this fun fact.

Many of the posters included in the simple + blue classroom theme are text-editable. 🤯

That means you can change up the voice levels, change the language of the font for the alphabet posters, and customize your hand signal posters.

But, more than that, it means you can use these posters as a template for ANYTHING else in your classroom.

Need something to help you track hot or cold lunches? Edit one of these posters to help you out.

Looking for a page to glue onto the front of everyone’s homework folder? Snag one of these posters and customize it to say “Homework Folder”.

The sky is the limit when it comes to using these posters around your room.

Labels to Keep Things Organized 🗃️

The simple + blue classroom theme is filled with resources to help YOU as well as your students. 💙

Here are some of the labels and organizational items included in this bundle.

10 Drawer Cart Labels

Papers are sometimes the biggest enemies of teachers. 😂

Help yourself actually have a desk by using labels on your 10 drawer cart.

These 10 drawer cart labels come in two different styles – one has a white background and the other allows the blue to take over the backgrounds.

Both will help keep your papers and supplies organized while contributing to your blue classroom vibe. 💙

Sterilite Drawer Labels

They are actually the same size as the 10 drawer cart labels, so that resource accomplishes two tasks at once!

This image shows a 3 drawer Sterilite container. The container has labels reading Math, ELA, and Science for the three different drawers.

Edit the text on these labels and use them to help organize the different papers or supplies sitting in your Sterilite 3 drawer containers.

Larger Rolling Cart Labels

These Essex Rolling Carts are GREAT places to store larger supplies or things you only use every so often.

But the larger the bin, the easier it is to dump other things in it. 😂

Use these text-editable labels to keep your supplies organized and in their right spots.

Teacher Toolbox Labels

Upgrade your teacher toolbox with these fun, blue labels!

This image shows a teacher toolbox decorated with labels designed to match the simple and blue classroom theme.

Never forget which drawer is the thumb tacks again. 😊

Binder Covers

The fun, cute, simple + blue themed labels don’t have to stop at carts and bins.

Add these binder covers to your 3-ring binders.

This way you will always reach for the right thing!

Plus, they’re a FREEBIE in my TPT! 🤩

Student Desk Name Tags

Give your student desks a glow-up with these simple + blue classroom theme name tags. 🌟

Choose from two different styles AND select the resources you want to give students at their desk.

Grab the name tags with the number line and alphabet running along the bottom, or just choose the plain name tag.

Editable Labels

All of these labels are editable.

Which means you can use them for anything in your classroom. 🤩

Use the name tags file to create labels for your classroom library bins.

Edit the teacher toolbox labels to add small labels to other parts of your classroom.

The possibilities are endless.

And the beauty of this system is everything will match. Nothing will feel out of place.

Grab the simple + blue classroom theme bundle for your room today so you can start adding shades of blue all over your space. 💙
