What is a Growing Bundle on TpT?

If you have spent time on Teachers Pay Teachers, I’m sure you’ve come across the phrase “growing bundle”.  Have you ever wondered what that term actually means and if it is a good deal?

You can save lots of money with growing bundles, and I’ll show you how. 🙂

Let’s get into it!

I have also created a blog post describing how to set up your printable classroom decor theme if you are looking for more tips and tricks!

This images shows a bright classroom decor bundle and says "What is a Growing Bundle?"

What IS a Growing Bundle?

A growing bundle is a group of resources that is constantly getting bigger.

In other words, the product will start small but have new items added over time.

When I launch a new decor product, it is a growing bundle. My classroom theme sets can start pretty small with only 10 – 15 resources included. However, I know the number of items included will increase. I add more products as I have more time to create.

So, even if a bundle starts at only having 15 resources included, it may have 40+ items by the time it’s finished!

Why Should I Buy a Growing Bundle on TpT?

Okay, you’re thinking, I understand what a growing bundle is, but why should I care?

Shouldn’t I just wait until all of the resources have been released and THEN make my purchase? 🤔

Actually, I would suggest no. Buy that growing bundle as soon as you can!

Let me tell you why.

🌟The number of resources is not the only thing growing for this product. The cost is also growing.

So, if you purchase this resource when it only includes 5 items, the price will be significantly lower than when it includes 35 items.

Here’s the cool thing: if you have already bought the product, you don’t pay ANYTHING for the updates! That means if you buy the bundle when it costs $12, but it now costs $35, you saved $23!! 🎉

These products can actually SAVE you money as you are getting new resources for FREE.

How Do I Know What Resources Have Been Added?

Every TpT seller will have a different strategy to include updates about their growing bundles.

Here are three ways to keep up-to-date about new items I add to my resources.

1️⃣ Follow me on Instagram!

I often share in posts and stories when I add new products to bundles!

If you haven’t done so already, follow me on IG @shaynavohstpt 😀

2️⃣ Go to the specific bundle on TpT

On the product’s page, look at the bottom of the description. Then, look to see if any new items have been added to the list of resources included.

3️⃣ Check “My Purchases” on TpT

Next, click “Recently Updated” to see what products have been altered. Look at the date the product was changed and read about the update in the green box! (See the example below)

This image shows a product under "My Purchases" on Teachers Pay Teachers with the green download button to re-download it.

This is an example of a resource with an update. You can see the date the update was made and an explanation of what is new.

How Do I Re-Download the Bundle?

Once you see that there are new goodies in the bundle, follow these steps to grab them!!

1️⃣ First, click on your profile picture at the top right-hand corner of TpT’s website.

2️⃣ Second, choose “My Purchases” from the drop-down list of options. (See image below!)

This image shows how to click on your picture then "My Purchases" on TpT to re-download a product.

3️⃣ Next, click the green “Download” button. The new files will be included in the downloaded files! 🎉

Another way to access those new items is to follow these steps.

✅ First, go to the product’s page on TpT.

✅ Then, click the green “Download” button on the page. (See the image below)
