Visual Guide: Easy Ways to Hang Your Classroom Affirmation Mirror

Have you ever wondered how teachers hang mirrors in their classroom without nails or screws?

If so, you’re in the right spot!

Check out these examples from teachers just like you who are getting creative with their space and adding in a positive affirmations mirror.

Where to Hang Your Affirmation Mirror 🪞

This is probably one of your biggest hangups.

Finding the perfect spot in your classroom for your affirmation station.

Here are some different places teachers have placed their mirrors around their classrooms!

On the Back of Your Door

Chances are, the back of your door is probably undecorated. 😊

Use it as the perfect place to hang your affirmation mirror!

This will create a special little place in your classroom. Also, anytime you close your door, your students will be reminded of some positive affirmations. 😍

Hanging on a Cabinet

This image shows large cabinets along a wall in a classroom. There are lots of resources on the cabinets. One of the main things hanging from a tall cabinet is an affirmation mirror.

If you have any tall cabinets in your classroom, this is another great place for your mirror!

It helps create an affirmation station in a corner of your classroom that is less trafficked and a little calmer.

On Any Blank Wall

And if nothing else, you can always take up some blank wall space with your positive affirmation mirror.

If you have any weird-sized walls or strange spaces, a mirror could be the perfect fit!

The beautiful thing is, no matter where you decide to place the mirror, your students will LOVE having a positive affirmation station. ❤️

But…how?

Now for the fun part…hanging that mirror on your door or cabinets or walls. 👍

One way to hang the mirror is to purchase an “over the door” mirror that comes with hardware to simply hang the mirror over the door.

This image comes from a 1st grade classroom makeover I did this summer!

If you look closely, you can see that there are two rods hanging over the cabinet door that allows the mirror to hang.

Target & Walmart generally have these mirrors on sale during the back to school season.

This method allows you to put the mirror up without having to attach anything to walls, doors, or anything else!

⭐ Another way to hang up your affirmation mirror is to use Command Strips.

I recommend using four 16lb Command Strips (one in each corner).

This protects the classroom walls and provides enough stability to keep the mirror in place!

No matter where you place the mirror or how you hang it, you are one step closer to creating your own affirmation station.

Walk through steps two and three in this blog post to bring your affirmation station to life. 🥰
