Maybe you have a gazillion bulletin boards and feel like your creativity has dried up.

Maybe you’re tired of staring at the blank, white wall across from your desk.

Read on for how to create one ⬇️

What is a Wow Work Display? 🤔

A Wow Work bulletin board (or Amazing Work Coming Soon display) is a portion of your room dedicated to hanging up student work.

BUT, there will always be times in the school year when you don’t have anything to display yet.

✨ At the beginning of the school year

✨ Right after a long break

✨ Whenever you hand back alllllllll the student things

Using a bulletin board (or a blank wall) to create a Wow Work display keeps something on your walls EVEN when you’re waiting for amazing student creations.

Setting Up Your Display 🖼️

Now for the fun part – creating the display itself!

There are SO many different options for where to place this in your classroom.

You could set this up:

🌟 on an empty bulletin board

🌟 on a patch of blank wall

🌟 over some background paper to “create your own” bulletin board

To create this wall, you will need an “Amazing Work Coming Soon” poster for each student in your class.

Lay out the posters with some space in between each one. Adding a border around the whole display adds a nice finishing touch.

This Tropical Vibes Wow Work display was a part of this 1st grade classroom makeover!

I love using a pushpin to place the “Amazing Work Coming Soon” poster on the bulletin board.

Then, I slide the metal part of a binder clip onto each push pin.

That way, you can easily clip student work to the individual posters!

Fun Display Ideas & Tips 📌

Seeing how other teachers use a resource in their classroom is always so fun!

Check out how Kennedy (a 2nd grade teacher) created this Wow Work for her students over her sink and counter.

She found perfectly designed papers to be the “placemat” for each student. They go so nicely with the pastel retro poster design. 😍

Placing the Wow Work display over a “strange” part of her classroom & adding some twinkle lights transforms it into a special place in her classroom.

Kennedy used a small clothespin attached to a metal, circular push pin instead of binder clips. This is a great different way to easily hang up student work!

Ms. Johnson (below) transformed a section of her classroom using the Neutral Amazing Things Coming Soon display.

The solid black mats behind the spaces help each student’s spot stand out individually.

Pairing the neutral posters with a wooden background creates a timeless, classic look.

No matter your style, creating a Wow Work display is an easy way to spiff up part of your classroom and celebrate the amazing work your students are doing!

Also, it’s a bulletin board display that can last all year.

Sounds like a win-win to me! 🙌
