Elementary students LOVE their birthdays!! 😍 They love talking about them, telling you all their plans for their big day, and possibly even inviting you to come along. Why not add some excitement to your classroom using a birthday display?
Here’s the good part: the birthday display does NOT need to be crazy or over the top to be cute, functional, and exciting for your students.

One Look, Three Ways
If you aren’t sure where to begin, the Modern Calm Colors birthday display is a great blend of colors that looks good in any classroom!
Add a simple black and white border and you have a beautiful display to celebrate your students on their special days!

This teacher loved the Modern Calm Color theme, but found a different way to display birthdays in her classroom.
Instead of using the giant birthday display, she used the editable labels from the Calm Colors bundle to create circular month tiles. Then, she printed the “Birthdays” banner from the birthday display on a smaller scale to fit her space.
You can do this and either add smaller labels with student names OR attach clothespins with student names around each month.

This is another creative way to create your own birthday display to work with the space your classroom has.
Emily used the rectangular editable labels from the Modern Calm Colors bundle to create the months, glued them to a poster board, and laminated everything. Now she can write student names right on top of her poster!
No matter how you choose to display the birthdays in your classroom, your students will feel recognized and celebrated!
