Are you looking for a way to quickly and easily make your classroom stand out from the rest?

Bulletin boards are a great way to liven up your room while also providing students with useful information.

In this blog post, I’ll share four creative bulletin board ideas that will give your classroom an exciting new look and feel! Read on to check out these four bulletin board ideas!

1. Use Wood Bulletin Board Paper for the Background

This wooden background bulletin board paper matches ANY theme! It’s my go to 😍

This image shows a birthday bulletin board display with bright, happy colored hexagons on top of a wooden background with a white and black border. There is a banner at the top that reads "Birthdays".

Take a look below at how it looks with both bright colors and neutrals. 🤩

Using this wooden background (or any background) is a way to create a bulletin board on your walls, even if it doesn’t really exist.

Plus, I like to add any white and black borders to complete the look!

Again, it doesn’t matter what colors you have in your classroom.

A wooden background and white and black borders will level up your bulletin boards 😍

2. Use Fabric as a Bulletin Board Background

I know it sounds strange, but this next bulletin board idea is all about fabric.

Instead of worrying about a type of background paper to use, other teachers swear by finding fabric to go over your bulletin boards because you can choose ANY color or pattern to match your theme!

This is Hanna’s FAVORITE way to level up her bulletin boards.

She says she loves it because you can iron out the fabric to get it perfectly straight, flat, and wrinkle-free.

Also, you can find the perfect color to match your classroom theme.

3. Add Greenery to your Bulletin Board

If your classroom is feeling a little drab or pale, this next bulletin board idea is for you!

Add a bit of greenery to the tops or edges of your bulletin boards to make them pop and help your classroom feel alive once again!

Bianca has transformed her calendar area into a cozy, bright part of her classroom.

Between the wooden background, amazing fringe border, and the greenery on top, this is a bulletin board you can look at all day. 😍

I LOVE how these small bits of greenery Dani added around her bulletin boards just make them feel alive.

They help spruce up the wall of bulletin boards and definitely take them to the next level. 🤩

4. Transform a Whiteboard into a Bulletin Board

Do you have a crazy number of whiteboards in your classroom and not enough bulletin boards? 🫠

This idea is for you!

Use tape or borders to divide your whiteboard into sections and treat them like bulletin boards!

I LOVE how Mrs. Toledo has transformed this extra whiteboard on the side of her classroom into a bulletin board.

She is using this “bulletin board” for SO many things, but it doesn’t feel crazy because the gray borders help separate the calendar from the jobs list.

This is another beautiful example from Miss Lewis on how you can use a simple border to separate your giant whiteboard into three sections.

This keeps your objectives and teaching organized both for you and your students!

No matter which bulletin board idea catches your eye, these are four great ways to spruce up your classroom without taking hours or breaking the bank!
